In the installation and maintenance of hydraulic systems, the correct use of a hydraulic hose crimper directly affects the tightness and safety of pipeline connections. As a professional crimping device, the hydraulic hose crimper firmly combines the fitting with the hose through precise pressure control, avoiding hidden dangers such as leakage and burst. The following details the operating steps and precautions for correctly using a hydraulic hose crimper.
I. Preparatory Work
1.Equipment Inspection
Before starting the hydraulic hose crimper, check if the oil tank has sufficient oil and if the hydraulic oil type meets the equipment requirements (usually No. 46 anti-wear hydraulic oil). At the same time, ensure the power supply voltage is stable and the grounding device is reliable to avoid affecting equipment operation or operator safety due to circuit problems. Check if the mold is installed firmly, and the mold model must match the specifications of the fittings and hoses to be crimped to prevent crimping size deviations caused by mismatched molds.
2.Workpiece Pretreatment
Cut a suitable length of hydraulic hose, ensuring the cut is flat and burr-free to avoid scratching the sealing ring. Clean the oil stains and impurities on the inner wall of the hose and the inner hole of the fitting; if necessary, wipe with a special cleaning agent to ensure the joint surface is clean. Peel off the outer rubber layer according to the hose specifications, and the peeling length must match the insertion depth of the fitting. The exposed reinforcement layer (such as steel wire braided layer) should be intact and undamaged.
II. Crimping Operation Process
1.Clamping and Positioning
Insert the processed hose into the fitting sleeve, ensuring the fitting core is fully inserted into the inner cavity of the hose until the root fits. Place the assembled workpiece in the center of the mold of the hydraulic hose crimper, adjust the position so that the crimping point is aligned with the crimping area of the fitting to avoid uneven force due to offset. Close the mold positioning device to ensure the workpiece does not shift during crimping.
2.Parameter Setting
According to the specifications of the fitting and hose, refer to the equipment manual or crimping parameter table to set the appropriate crimping pressure and stroke. For workpieces of new specifications, it is recommended to perform a trial crimping first, measure the outer diameter of the crimped part, compare it with the standard value, and fine-tune the parameters until they meet the requirements. The pressure control accuracy of the hydraulic hose crimper directly affects the crimping quality, so overpressure or insufficient pressure should be avoided.
3.Starting Crimping
After confirming that the parameter settings are correct, press the start button, and the hydraulic hose crimper will complete the crimping action according to the preset program. During the crimping process, the operator should observe the operation status of the equipment. If abnormal noise, vibration, or workpiece deformation is found, press the emergency stop button immediately, troubleshoot, and then continue operation. After crimping is completed, wait for the mold to fully reset before taking out the workpiece to avoid scalding or pinching.
III. Post-Inspection and Handling
1.Quality Inspection
After crimping, use a caliper to measure the outer diameter of the crimped part of the workpiece to ensure it is within the standard tolerance range. Check if the joint between the fitting and the hose is tight, with no looseness or 歪斜,and the reinforcement layer is not exposed. Conduct a pressure test by connecting the crimped workpiece to the test device, apply water pressure or oil pressure 1.5 times the working pressure, maintain it for 5-10 minutes, and observe for leaks. The pressure drop should not exceed the specified range.
2.Equipment Maintenance
After each use, turn off the power of the hydraulic hose crimper, clean the debris and oil on the mold surface, and apply anti-rust oil to prevent the mold from rusting. Regularly inspect the hydraulic system of the equipment, replace aging sealing rings and oil pipes, and ensure no leakage in the hydraulic circuit. Apply grease to moving parts to keep them running smoothly and extend the service life of the equipment.
Precautions
Operators must receive professional training, be familiar with the performance and operating specifications of the hydraulic hose crimper, and it is strictly prohibited to work without a license.
During the crimping process, it is strictly prohibited to put hands or other objects into the mold working area to prevent crushing injuries.
When the equipment is out of use for a long time, drain the hydraulic oil, clean the equipment surface, and store it in a dry and ventilated environment.
By strictly following the above steps, the efficient operation of the hydraulic hose crimper and the quality stability of crimped products can be ensured, providing a guarantee for the safe and reliable operation of the hydraulic system.
